She conducts online personalized training and is admired by many who follow her on social media.

We at Fempreneur are delighted to feature Zainab Khanani for our series “Women Who Inspire” in which we will learn more about her life and experiences.

Let’s meet her!

I’m a happily married woman and a mother of 3 kids. I belong to the Memon community. After getting married and having kids, I completed my studies and thereafter, pursued my career as a fitness trainer.

What motivated you to become a personal trainer?

I have always been passionate about fitness and had a dream to become a Fitness Trainer. The main reason I pursued it as a career is because of my passion.

When it comes to fitness knowledge, how do you stay up-to-date?

Keeping yourself updated is necessary for any profession. I gain additional knowledge from books and websites of internationally recognized fitness institutes and by working with senior trainers.

I believe challenges and hardships are signs that you’re stepping toward success. Working with big and recognized names like Shapes and UFC and working with experienced Coaches is a challenge in itself and I learned a lot from their experiences. Other than that maintaining my own fitness studio and website “Fit with Zabi” also isn’t easy but I navigate around my challenges and strive to do better.

What do you do to motivate and encourage your clients?

Every client has different challenges and different goals. I deal with my clients according to their needs and love to help them achieve their goals.

Why are the majority of people not consistent with their weight loss goals?

People usually prefer quick fixes and overnight results. Now, that is the duty and test of a good Fitness Coach to make their clients stay consistent and educate them that fitness, strength, and weight maintenance are of utmost importance.

I believe a good Fitness Coach must be qualified and experienced, focusing on the client’s overall long-term fitness, instead of short-term results for the sake of money and risking the client’s health in the process.

What is the one thing you like the most about the Fitness Industry?

Most of the people that come to us are obese, sick, or depressed but when we start working towards being healthy and the results start to show, you see happiness and a sense of achievement on their faces, that’s what makes me really proud of my profession.

Any advice you would like to give to women who are struggling with weight gain?

My advice is to eat everything in moderation, exercise 4-5 times a week, and avoid following fad diets and starvation. Also, to work only with certified and experienced Trainers.
